Touring Italy 2013

Martin and Linda took a tour of Italy recently and were able to see most of Italy. This stop was at the scenic and beautiful Amafli Coast town of Positana!! Linda's dad was Joe Marchese. He was a son of Mario Marchese who migrated from Sicily to the U.S. After their tour ended they went to Sicily by themselves and had a wonderful time there!!

The picture above is and unique example of building on the cliffs. The picture on the right was taken from the balcony of their hotel!!
Next Stop Pompeii: Pompeii was a very large city, that was destroyed by a volcano!! Several things there were similar to things later built in Rome. Martin is standing on a pedestrian crossing, used when the streets were flooded!!
Next Stop Pisa: Linda with the Cathedral and Tower in the background. On the right Martin & Linda looking good with the Tower behind!!
If you look at the Tower, there are people! In the year 2000, Marlene and I were not allowed to get close, they were trying to stablize it.
