Grandson Nieto Angelo Phillips

The Navy Years
Neito joined Navy while still in High School, after graduated, he was sent to Chicago for basic training. After he graduated he was sent to South Carolina for Nuclear Power School.
Neito was not allowed to have guests at his first two Graduations Ceremony because of the Covid Virus going around!! Nor could he travel and come home during this time frame of one and half years!! In the picture on the left he has just graduated from his last course in Nuclear Power School and Mom Elaine and Dad John got to see that graduation in person!! What a proud moment for Mom & Dad!!
Here are the proud parents, Dad John with Nieto in his uniform the day of the Graduation and and equally proud Mom on the right with Nieto in his Fatigues(work clothes)!! Then afterwards he was allowed to come home with Mom & Dad and go to share his Grand Mother Marlene's Birthday Party & see a lot of other relatives. Like Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Now he has some time to spend with Family & friends before he has to go back to his base.
It was nice that in South Carolina, Nieto had relatives that he could visit on his Mom Elaines side of the Family he could visit and relax with in the picture on the left!!
Grandmother Marlene & husband Ron were also invited to attend the dinner at Anthony's, one of the historic restaurants in La Mesa!!
Dad John above wanted to treat Neito & Family, wife Elaine and son Giovanni to a special dinner while he was here!!
