Here are some of the older planes sitting on the flight deck of the Midway. Pietro especially was interested beings he had served in the Italian Air Force. Here is Pina, Maria, and Marlene standing on the Bridge of the Midway. It is very long to enable the fighter jets to take-off safely.

This is the Bridge of the Midway where the Captain and Crew have their office. While we were on the Midway , another Navy vessel passed by on it's way out to sea.

Looking off the boat at the San Diego Skyline. Here you can see in the distance the Coronado Bridge, going from the city of San Diego to Coronado Island.

The Navy's Hospital Ship, it's latest assignments have been Katrina disaster in New Orleans and Haiti.
We were passing by our large "dry-dock" Naval Yards where ships are built and repaired. Also we passed the shipping docks, the Dole Yellow Banana boat was there.

Arrivederci !! Pietra, Pina and Maria off to San Jose !! They flew Southwest. We will miss them and enjoyed their visit and friendship. They are having a great time in California. You will be able to see these webpages soon on Pietro's Usticasape.it
