Here we are at our fun and unique day trip, Thanks
to son Tom. It was a memorable day!! The scenery is not
every day California!!

Our 1st stop was the
Local Museum, it was small but very interesting. They had all stuffed wild
life animals that were home to that region. However the kids seemed to enjoy
the live snakes in their cages the most. That included some live rattle
snakes!! In the Sanctuary there was a pool of water that contained lots
of gold fish for us to look at, also there was at least one turtle seen
above. There was a place to sit and watch the birds feed, a woodpecker on
the right!! |

The Main event for
the day was the Modjeska Historical House, built in 1888. When
we arrived we were told the house was closed but we could look around?
Above is the house from a distance and a closer look. On the the right is
the guest house. The home was built by Helena Modjeska, a Shakespearean
actress and Polish patriot, and her husband Count Karol Bozenta Chlapowski.
Helena was a Shakespearean actress and played tragic roles!! |

door. As we were getting ready to leave, a volunteer showed up with keys
to open the door and gave us a tour through the house!! On the right is
