Let the program begin !! Marlene introducing the Usticesi to our Marchese cousins. 23 Marchese's were in attendance. I explained our roots coming from Maria Manfre to Palermo in 1844 to marry Salvatore Anello, then their first child Rosalia Anello, who married a Marchese.
Chris Caravella, the Society President, welcomes everyone and introduces Pietro who shows pictures on the screen all about Ustica.Agostino and Pietro also read a very nice letter from the Mayor of Ustica to the group. There was also greetings from Vito Ailari, the Island historian.

Time for "Dolce" dessert - and what a spread !! Maria is going to cut her Mardi Gras King Cake she brought from New Orleans. Her and Pina Bertucci also made and brought Sicilian cookies that they made. Maria made her fabulous Terrimisu for the party, Marlene made a carrot cake and several others brought beautiful pies and cookies.

Here is Uncle Mario into the desserts. And Sheri is inspecting the Limoncello !! It is a famous Southern Italian drink made with lemons and alcohol. Most of the guests used it to spike the homemade lemonade.
