Sightseeing at San Diego Bay

Harbor Island

We took Pietro, Pina and Maria for a walk on Harbor Island to view the Bay and vessels there. Here you can see an old sailing ship and a Naval Carrier, the USS Stennis CVN 74.
Just a very interesting tree on the walk.
The city of San Diego in the background.
Here is the Stennis again, the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan usually docks there also, but had been deployed 2 weeks ago.
Pietro, Maria, Marlene and Ron taking a 1 1/2 mile walk along the Harbor.
Pietro captured a good shot of this Seagull, he even got it in flight.
Pictures Below are of the Carrier Midway!!
The girls in the parking lot with the city of San Diego in the background.
A lot of Naval Aircraft on board. The hanger deck had all old Navy Planes from World War Two. The modern Jets was on the top deck!!
This picture shows how long the Midway is 972 ft. long and first commissioned in 1943!
